Adams Morey Case Study

Overview

Adams Morey called upon PAEM to help create a travel incentive reward weekend, for both sales team members and their partners. The audience is very well known to PAEM and this prior knowledge of the participants was extremely useful in planning the event – until a major weather event played havoc with the plans!

24 hours before the event, “The Beast from the East” – a major snow storm – hit the south of England. However, whilst the weather issues in the UK were unforeseen, PAEM ensured that it did not affect the experience of trip participants once in Krakow by finding a solution to fit all activities in to a shorter window of time.

The Itinerary

The programme schedule was adjusted to reflect this and despite the obvious challenges, everything that had been organised was still included in the weekend’s programme.

Highlights of the event included:

  • An informal ‘kick off’ dinner in a traditional cellar restaurant, with local Polish entertainment throughout the evening.
  • A familiarisation tour of the city by golf carts, on foot and by old Communist era Trabant cars, ending up in the main square for a coffee and a slice of sumptuous chocolate cake.
  • Guests experienced Krakow ‘over-the-ages’, being transported by horse drawn carriages and old Communist era Trabant cars, dining in traditional restaurants with local entertainment and visiting one of the oldest companies in Poland… and the whole of Europe!
  • A visit to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, where guests donned protective boiler suits and safety kit for a behind-the-scenes tour of this fascinating site, including areas not normally accessible to the average tourist.

The Results

“I cannot thank you enough for not only arranging the weekend, but then sorting out the mess that prevailed 24 hours before departure.

The event went, I believe, unbelievably well. The programme was appreciated by everybody and had a good mix of activities, some more sobering than others, of course, but never the less appreciated by us all.

What can I say about the Saturday night. When we agreed the format I felt it was a bit of a risk, but what a night was had by everybody; a fabulous evening remembered more so by some than by others!

Thanks Steve for helping put it all together, it is very much appreciated and as usual your expertise is second to none when arranging events like these.”
